Meal-kit company HelloFresh is laying off 611 warehouse workers and permanently closing its facility in Richmond, California, with the layoffs effective December 11, 2022. The company, which operates in the competitive meal-kit delivery industry, cited the expiring lease and a strategic shift toward newer, more efficient sites as reasons for the closure.
