This represents a small fraction of the company's vast workforce, as Amazon has already cut about 27,000 jobs across its businesses this year. The latest reductions, affecting pharmacy technicians and team leads but largely sparing registered pharmacists, are part of ongoing adjustments to organizational needs and economic conditions. The company stated the move allows it to continue investing in customer experience for its pharmacy services, a sector it entered four years ago with the acquisition of PillPack and the launch of Amazon Pharmacy.
