The restructuring particularly impacted the direct hotel team, with about 20 employees affected, a move largely driven by Expedia's decision to restart supplying hotels to Hopper, which made those roles less critical. The company is now focusing on strategic realignment to streamline operations and enhance efficiency in the competitive online travel industry.
