This marks the third round of layoffs at the edtech startup in three years. The cuts are part of a sales strategy restructuring, impacting teams across sales, marketing, product, and technology, with the on-field sales team being the most affected. Unacademy, which acquired PrepLadder in 2020, has recently become more involved in its daily operations, prompting this reorganization to enhance business efficiency. The company is providing severance based on notice periods and extending medical insurance for impacted employees.
